WESTERN UNION® - INBOUND PH PROMOTION ("PROMOTION") TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Information on how to enter and the prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. By participating, participants agree to these Terms and Conditions.
The promoter of this Promotion is Creative Affairs Team, Inc, located in 160 Pasig Blvd., Bagong Ilog, Pasig City. All activities relating to marketing of the Promotion is done by Western Union, located in 11F One World Square Upper McKinley Road, McKinley Town Center Fort Bonifacio Taguig City.
The promo is open to all Philippine residents aged 18 years or above. Employees and relatives within the second degree of consanguinity or affinity of Creative Affairs Team Inc and Western Union, Western Union® Agents and Sub-agents, and service providers/marketing agencies associated with this Promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
This Promotion starts on 12:00am (AEST) on 15 February 2021 and ends on 11:59pm (AEST) on 30 April 2021 (“Promotion Period”). All transactions made after 11:59pm (AEST) on 30 April 2021 will not be accepted and will be considered as invalid.
All Eligible Participants who, during the Promotion Period, successfully received a Western Union® Money Transfer in the amount of at least PHP 10,000 or its foreign currency conversion(principal amount, inclusive of Documentary Stamp Tax (DST)—if applicable) from any country or territory outside the Philippines via one of the following Western Union channels will be eligible for an entry into the Promotion.
- Receiver can claim his remittance through his preferred Western Union Agent
- Receiver can receive the money through his bank account
- Receiver can pull the money though his mobile wallet (ie Gcash, PayMaya, Coins, USSC, PeraHub)
In order to claim their entry, an Eligible Participant should log in to https://wu.com/ph
and provide the following information to register to the promotion until 30 April 2021.
- Name (as provided by the sender and written in the receiver’s ID)
- Mobile Number
- Email Address
- Residential Address
- Date transaction was made
- 10 digits of the MTCN shared by the sender
An Eligible Participant may only enter the Promotion once per month. In the event an Eligible Participant has multiple entries within any given month, only the first entry will be considered, subject to the entry requirements outlined in clause 5 above.
There will be 50 winners of PHP 5,000 Sodexo gift certificates. Under the Philippine law, sweepstake winners under 10,000 PHP are delivered to the recipient tax-free. As each prize is under the threshold, you as the recipient should not be taxed on your winnings.
Sodexo gift certificates are provided by a third party provider, subject to their respective terms and conditions. The third party provider will be responsible for any matters arising from or in connection with the prizes, services, and/or information they provide in relation to which Western Union will have no liability whatsoever. Any enquiry or complaint regarding the prizes, services, and/or information should be directed to such third party provider. Western Union will not be held liable to the quality and availability of the prizes, services and information provided by the third party provider, and excludes liability in connection with the promotion once the winner(s) enjoys any benefit relating to the promotion of the full extent permitted by law.
The winners will be selected by random draw to be held on 12 May 2021 at 4pm local time (GMT+8) via Zoom video call together with a Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) representative present.
The winners will be notified via registered mail, call, and email.
The shopping voucher will be delivered to the winners’ identified residential address as indicated in the registration form free of charge.
If this Promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties or failures, unauthorised intervention or fraud, vandalism, power failure, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any Eligible Participant with prior DTI Approval.
Subject to any applicable laws which cannot be excluded, the Promoter and its related bodies corporate and agents associated with this Promotion shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered or sustained by anyone (including, but not limited to, direct or indirect loss, consequential loss or loss arising from negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with this Promotion or any prize provided as part of this Promotion.

Acceptance of any prize, benefit and/or offer provided by the Promoter will be deemed as consent by the winner(s) to take part in any related publicity and using their name, likeness, image and/or voice for advertising and other promotional purposes without compensation, except as otherwise prohibited by any applicable law.
The Promoter collects personal information (“PI”) in order to conduct the Promotion and may disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to regulatory authorities. Participants agree to provide this PI. The use and handling of PI is seen in the Privacy Statement, which can be viewed at https://www.westernunion.com/content/wucom/global/en/privacy-statement.html

The Privacy Statement also contains information about how Eligible Participants may opt out, access, update or correct their PI, and how Eligible Participants may complain about a breach of their privacy or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. The Promoter will not disclose Eligible Participant’s personal information to any entity outside of the country in which it was originally collected. A request to access, update or correct any PI should be directed to the Promoter.
To the extent that there is any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and other marketing materials or collateral produced in relation to this Promotion, these terms and conditions will be followed.
